Hi,

I hope someone can help as I'm completely stuck.

I have a new lap top which goes to premium game and adult pages when on the web. This must have been picked up whilst on a web page but I don't know how to stop it.

I have tried to delete a folder I found which is sbl/dialers/playing.exe but every attempt to delete this foiolder, or subs, gives the message. This seems the only folder that it could be.

'Cannot delete playing: Access is denied. Make sure the disk is not full or write protected and that the file is not currently in use'

This has obviously occured from visiting sites for which I should have known better, but any help would be appreciated.

Regards,

Sounds like you've got a bit of spyware to me.

Have you got any spyware removal programs?

If not just type ad-aware in google and download that.

Or you could boot your computer in safe mode and manually delete the folder.

Go to Run>type 'msconfig'>click on 'BOOT.INI'>Click box that says '/SAFEBOOT'>restart computer

After you're done in same mode, make sure you unclick the box, then it will run normally.

And no more porn without the proper protection! (anti-virus, firewall, spyware remover)

You have got to delete the bad files while the computer is in safe mode, and i think that you should have some virus protection like mcafee or norton. Also clear all the cookies by going to tools, then options, then clere history, clear file, clear folders and that will delete any cookies you have picked up.
Hope this helps

mmm,
naughty naughty lol
if you go to majorgeeks.com and take a look through their free downloads, in the spyware section you will find plenty of free programes for finding spyware.
three i would recomend are:
spybot search and destroy
adaware se
and avg free, its a anti virus.
i would then download zonealarm from the firewall section.
once you have all of these, you should dissable your system restore and scan in safe mode as lac3y said. once you have finished scanning, you should boot in normal mode and re set the system restor.
see how it goes and stay in touch.
woz

For all the quick assistance thanks. I'll try these out just now but with my lack of PC knowledge I'm sure you'll hear from me again.

The 'Safe Mode' fix worked although due to my stupidity I had a few problems logging in using safe mode. I think I've sorted it although Ad-Ware wouldn't download succesfully. I better just stay awy from choice web pages from now on.

Again, cheers to all who helped out here.

I'd suggest u get spywareblaster. It is very effective in keeping spyware and adware out of ur computer.
