Default Internet Explorer Problem

i'm currently using the AOL Explorer and i don't really like it.
and IE doesn't work and i wanna use that one but it says this

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

Most likely causes:
You are not connected to the Internet.
The website is encountering problems.
There might be a typing error in the address.

What you can try:
Check your Internet connection. Try visiting another website to make sure you are connected.

Retype the address

while you have IE open, click on Tools > Internet options. Under the Programs tab, make it the default browser.

Here's another shot in the dark. Under the Connections tab in Internet Options, click the setup button to setup an Internet connection.

Whats your connection type, wireless or ethernet?
