Default Internet Explorer Problem.....

I am using Vista Home Basic.

When I go to open a site with IE 7 sometimes it goes real slow.

I have found that at these times if I open:

Control Panel...

Programs...

View Running Programs...

It will show 2 instances of IE Explorer running.

If I close the one closest to the top of the list of running programs the page I was trying to open shows almost instantaneously.

How can I stop this from happening?

Try this:
Go to My Computer > Control Panel > Folder Options. Click on the View tab and un-check Launch folder windows in a separate process. Click Apply > OK.
