Default Internet driver/adapter problems

My Windows XP Media Center edition computer recently had a hard drive failure so i replaced it with a brand new one. I installed xp using the install disk but have been unable to connect to the internet at all. I have a cable internet connection which worked fine before the reinstall. What should I do? Is there some utility I can download? The connection isn't even recognized in the Network Connections file in the control panel.

Default Re: Internet driver/adapter problems

you need the drivers for your network card.
I'm guessing it's an integrated network card, which means that the drivers would be found on the mobo manufacturers website. (or computer manufacturers if it's a prebuilt computer)

The drivers should also be in the mobo/manufacturer's cd.
