Default Internet

I'm moving into base housing. Well i'd like high speed internet. The base provides basic dailup. Which is the last thing I wanna do. I was wondering if anyone knows of somthing tht gives you highspeed and it doesn't need to have wires connecting to your house? Doesnt DSL work that way?

Nah, DSL uses phone lines, if i remember correctly, but in a different way so that it doesn't stop you using the phone.

I think you need wires at some point, even with a wireless setup.

You can make DSL wireless if you use a wireless router. But that connects to a DSL modem which uses the phone line still.
*Fact: Microsoft Window's Blue Screen of Death vs Computerforums.org's White Screen of Death. Which is worse?
