Well it all depends on benchmarks, sure one is a 'truer' quad core but will it be faster?

Until benches are out, that picture means nothing. I'm happy with my C2D for the time being though.

if you cant call the quad cores that are out right now "true quad cores" then can you really call the dual core processors true dual cores?

You can call the current Core 2 Duo's "true" dual cores because both cores are packaged on a single die.

wat one?

And by the way i think that a true Quad core will be a repeat of history

If u ppl are wondering if it will b better to have a true Quad then look at how much a difference "true Duals" are compared to duals with 2 single cores

I think it makes a difference cuz in that pic it explains and heres my pic of that pic
one die 2 single cores:
~~~
[ ]---| /Wat if a command from both Cores hits here at the same time?
>-----
[ ]---|
~~~
One die 1 "Ture Dual Core":
~~~
[ ]----------(it go straight =)
AMD needs to make a socket more future-proof. Swapping mobos is annoying every time you want to buy a new processor.
