Also, having Hyper-Threading technology enabled actually makes the processor slower. Because it doesn't allow the physical processor to actually process all the data. It has to create, or utilize, that HT technology to "create" another processor. And since games and most applications don't use HT technology, I would disable it. That way if you're gaming all the data gets fed directly to the CPU and it processes it. And seeing as how you have a rather high frequency on that Prescott, I would disable it, that way you can take full advantage of the processor. If you're a speed freak, then I would definetly recommend disabling the Ht technology in the BIOS.

But the thing is that games to use it. And if my games dont run it the background processes sure take advantage of it. And either way, I have 2005 mandrake linux installed on it. Im doing a dual boot. So the thing is that that linux needs to have the HT, for the 64bit compatable. Right?

But I will gladly do that -try- when I get the computer back in my room.
