Intel SSD and late TRIM update......
Well HELLO! Everyone....
Very long time no speak.
Anyway, ignore the sig, my old rig is long long gone. Now caught onto the "professional" way of doing things and using a HP elitebook :P
Anyway, I'm a wee bit worried. I went out and purchased a 160GB Gen2 Intel SSD knowing that Intel annouced they'd be releasing a Trim update in time for the release of Windows 7.
Well, Windows 7 is less that 10 hours away, and still there seems to be no Trim update.
I've been running Windows 7 RC for the last few months and love it. But, I've already pre-ordered it months ago (the Pro version for £80, not bad ehh?) and I want to get onto this ASAP. I don't particularly want to have to reinstall it after the trim update though as theres the possiblity that the trim update might be distructive. So, having the Trim update released on time would be nice.
Anyone out there know how Intel are getting on with the update? and if infact it will be out on time. You never know, they might just be trying to keep us all in suspense with such an "exciting" update. lol.
Other than that, Hello again CF!
