my guess is that the pricing in the list is what intel sells them to dealers for? Because I've been looking at the e8400 on newegg and it's ain't no $183!

Probably. As you can see, the poster stated that the prices are based on "1000 unit quantities."


You could get them for $183....just buy 1000 of them!
