Yeah its a cpu made for multi-tasking, but does alrite in gaming as well. Go for an AMD FX chip if you're building a gaming rig.

I gotta say. This is a great processor, nice speeds. Great mutli-tasking abilities, and good gaming. This CPU will handle it all. I actually think this is the best CPU out there. Because its enough power to resoursive games, and apps, also its not so much power that you wont ever use it all. Great overall CPU. I like it.

You wont have any problems with any stock heatsink. Although.. if you plan to overclock, thats a different story.

no, i dont like it. Why? Get a 920 instead. They max out around the same, and you get more performance on the 920 because of the higher FSB. For bandwidth on Intels, FSB is EVERYTHING.

FSB on both is 800... the 930 runs at 3.0GHz while the 920 runs at 2.8GHz... so the only diff between the two is the Processor speed.

Or am i missing something

you are missing something. If you overclock them both to the same speeds, the 920 will out perform the 930. More FSB = more performance.
