Default intel P4 3.4ghz vs intel pentium D 2.66ghz

wich of these procsessers are better i dont have the money for C2Ds or the cpu i would love to have so im stuck between these 2 i need help wich is faster wich has lower temps and what not what is the over clocking abilty of the 2 i know amd is better for over clocking but i dont want amd i have a pc with amd 5000+ and i wanna switch to intel so i can say i have both

Not really sure about that. I can tell you one thing though AMD's are not better for overclocking.

Go for Core 2 Duo, they overclock really far, and do more per clock compared to AMD's current lineup.
