Excuse my ignorance... but what exactly is the yonah. I know is it supposed to be the next step from the pentium d or is it a server cpu??? Or is it just a core name?

Yonah is Intel's next-generation Pentium M core and it will replace the Dothan core. It comes in single and dual-core, hence the name Core Solo and Core Duo.
