Intel duo core 2 w/ mobo

im not a computer wizz so if someone could please explain to me really quick if this cpu : here
will work with a regular LGA775 motherboard or do i need some special conroe version?

im only asking this because i see some motherboards with conroe in the title and some w/out

im planning on getting this motherboard : here

id gladly appreciate it if someone could find me a good mobo with sata2 and sli support for the cpu above

i dont get why everybody wants an NVidia chipset. It's not GOOD whatsoever. DFI even CANCELLED the NF590SLI IE because of a FSB wall at 350Mhz.

To be honest, I didn't even look at the chipset. I definitely am not going for an NVidia chipset with Conroe, if I do that... I'll go Intel for sure. Or, whatever the best is. I just noticed a link to the "Conroe version" of that board in the forums.

so you need the conroe version of lga775 to use the duo core 2?

yep. you need a conroe compatible lga775 cuz the voltages are different or something like that.. i don't quite remember.
