Intel Difference

That caught my attention for months now.

I own a Socket 478 Intel P4 3.00GHZ. Some people have an Intel Pentium 4 3.00E GHZ CPU.

What difference is there from a 3.00 GHZ and a 3.00E GHZ?

I believe E denotes that its a prescott w/ 800mhz FSB.

Originally, two Prescott lines were released: the E-series, with an 800 MT/s FSB and Hyper-Threading support, and the low-end A-series, with a 533 MT/s FSB and Hyper-Threading disabled.
