Yeah my 7900GS works on it, I just can't SLI them because it's a CrossFire chipset, but I'm waiting for R600 to come out.

any performance difference between SLI and Crossfire though? I'm thinking of getting a Athlon 64 x2 5200+ with 2 x1950's but will a Core 2 Duo E6400 with 2 7900GT's be better?

Go for the Core 2 Duo setup. Although you may want to consider an 8800GTS over that for the DirectX10 support.

ooo this ones nice for its price though i always found ATI better any cheap Intel Crossfire motherboards out there? cheapeast i could find is like 400 CAD

Well AMD owns ATI now, so they'd be hard to find (they don't want Intel using their graphics)

I think the 975X chipset works with both SLI and Crossfire though, so look at these two:

oh nice it does but probably ATI will do something to make crossfire work better with AMD CPUs. Mabye one day Intel will buy Nvidia who knows :/
