Damned if I know. I haven't heard anything on either site in a very long time.

Yeah, the merger was going to happen long ago.
I was against it as I like this forum as a familial atmosphere.

In more successful forums in their field, edit buttons stay for a reasonable time. Here it waits for you to lose focus for a moment and then it turns invisible

That sounds awesome. I may have to switch my name soon... Darn!

Intel_man
I'm personally sticking with my 3rd gen. i5 until it gives away or a real worthy difference in preferred performance takes place. It's even okay running games at 4K in console performance and PC quality at least when over clocked to 4.2GHz with my new SLI setup.

Re: Intel changed its desktop gen. 8 mainstream Core processors' policies.
My i5-3570 is still rock solid and when it's over I still have my 2nd gen i3-2100 to take over.

Re: Intel changed its desktop gen. 8 mainstream Core processors' policies.
My 8350 is still alright too. The only reason I would have to update is power consumption. Performance improvements haven't been that great lately so efficiency would be the only reason I would see to update.
