What makes intel better for multi tasking and AMD better for gamming?

Personally, I think Intel goes for Multitasking. My P4 is better for this thanmy AMD...probably b/c I don't have SSE...

AMD though, Hyper Transport Techology will do the same for Multitasking...uless you use Opteron...now, you'd get real multitasking. Intel does the job though

That question is a thing of the past. AMD is better at multitasking and gaming now while Intel is trying to improve on their line of CPUs. In the past, Intel CPU have more lines of code in the processor than AMD but in the end, the difference is never more than 10%. Big whoop...

Get an AMD CPU or better yet, an Athlon 64 X2. Excellent in multitasking and does a great job running games.

This has been discussed so much, it's not even funny or interesting anymore. Seriously. I'm not trying to be mean, but, intel just has a better architecture for games because it uses more power in some apps and has more pins and amd has its own on-die memory controller which puts it ahead in gaming... ok... I'm done...
