Default Integrated Graphics

Can an integrated graphics mobo still have a graphics card installed? I no this is a stupid question but my lil bro brought it up and it made me think more and more...

It certainly can, and most mobos will instantly recognise the card and route graphics to it. A fair number will disable the onboard graphics as well to save energy.
