Default InstallShield Help

Whenever I try to uninstall certain programs, it always gives me this error:

The InstallShield engine (iKernel.exe) could not be launched.

No such interface supported.

What gives?

Try a repair if you want, it sounds as if your Windows installer is corrupt.
To repair: Insert your XP cd to your rom drive > cancel auto run > start > run > type sfc /scannow. This is a system file checker that will repair corrupt Windows System files (note the space between sfc and the /, if not typed correctly it will not run)
