Default Re: Installing XP on SATA HDD issue....

I have solved my damn issue after racking my brain on what the hell is wrong and why it won't find the hard drive, it just came to me that I had the IDE/SATA RAID Function enabled in my BIOS. Disabled it rebooted and was on my way to installing it. Thanks for the help anyway.

Just one more question I have an old 40GB IDE HDD in my old computer with all backup info on it would I need to run it as a slave drive or could I run it as master and my comp would still boot up from the SATA HDD?

Cheers,
Eyes0nly

Good!,
Thanks for posting back with the answer. It is always the simplest things that get us. Because it is always taken for granted that it was taken care of to begin with.
