Installing XP Removing ME

I know how to install XP but how to i remove ME first?

and how do i reformat?


if i right click c dirve it says windows cannot format this drive because it contains files in use by windoes

If you require any of the files take them off the drive then follow these instuctions;

Reboot with WinXP in CD-Rom

WinXP should start installing

When it comes to installing select your current drive delete the partition and the remake the partition and then it will install XP onto that drive (full format not quick)

Note: Partition bit v easy and has onscreen instructions, if you have more than 1 HDD disconnect the other one(s) so you dont accidently format that one by accident

If you have Me you must know how to make a boot disk. Boot with it and then after the A prompt just write format C: and after that any other drive you have. Then remove your boot diskette, insert your XP CD and reboot with your XP CD and bingo your on your way.
