Installing XP from from boot up

I recently have windows ME installed but i'm unable to start windows due to files missing. I would like to install XP is it possible to boot from XP CD and install windows XP. Thanks

Yes, go into the BIOS, and go to Boot Priority. Put CDROM at the top of the list, and then restart the computer (hit F10 before you close the BIOS to save settings) then Pop in the xp CD, and restart. It will ask you to boot from the CDROM, hit enter, and you are off.
