Default Installing Ubuntu 7.10 on Leopard using Parallels.

I have tried so many times, and I can't get it to work.

I followed instructions from this web site:

I downloaded the Ubuntu 7.10 from the site it listed, and I followed every step. It gets as far as step 14. At this point, it looks like Ubuntu is loading, it shows the Ubuntu Logo, and the thing that shows status(how much has loaded.)

After this the top of the screen has some weird white pattern and the background is black. It flashes from a small window to a larger window, and there is a small white dot and it looks like a little X flashes over it.

What is going on? What am I doing wrong?
