Installing Sound Card

Hi, My computer has an integrated sound card and I am trying to install a sound card instead. I have disabled the integrated sound card in device manager. I have installed the new sound cards drivers and it shows it in device manager. But when I go to WMP it says there is no audio hardware or the H.W isnt responding. Am I doing somethign wrong? Try going into your BIOS and see if you can disable your sound there. You still might be getting some sort of conflict or something.
