installing sata

ok...i got my new motherboard and the agp slot works(unlike the last one), but i have a problem. i have a western digital 160 gb sata hard drive, but the computer did not find it. so i followed the directions and set it up so that it recognizes the drive, but when i tried to install windows xp professional it says i dont have a hard drive. does anyone know what might be wrong?

um i too had the same problem but i cant quite remember how to do it but it was something inside the case like the wire might in in the wrong place i think u put it in the plug near the processor

have a look inside the comp and see if any of he wires from the hard drive r in the right place but if u dont know anything bout that stuff then get someone to check it out. it happened to my seagate barracuda 200 gig sata hdd.

oh and make sure u have sp2 on ur comp
