Default installing flash player for FF

im trying to do this. http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/downl...hockwaveFlash&
i have it downloaded and uncompressed, it says to go to the directory and from the command line type: ./flashplayer-installer
the problem is, i don't know what the command line is. could someone be so kind as to tell me what that is?

are you trying to install it in windows or linux? and when trying to view a flash file in firefox, it says download some plugin, and then u click that and it installs flash for u directly....

hmm, well, i was on a site, it said i needed the flash player plugin, so that was the site it gave me. wierd.

ummm no. stop.

if you dont have flash, then in the space where the thing should appear shows a thing "click here to download plugins" and u click that and it opens a windows and just click next next next
