Default iMac For ubuntu?

I want to get an iMac for ths purpose of Ubuntu because i love the styling of Apple and i love the Design of ubuntu so instead of my laptop being my main linux machine, this would be it instead!

So i was wondering which of these would be best bang for buck for running ubuntu:

I like the first one, but it's 120% more than the other on, and all you get is a flatscreen and 200mhz more...

However, the flat screen does make it look rather good!

I did a bit of searching, and came across: http://www.gainsaver.com/Catalog/Det...03&version=103

You could proberbly upgrade the RAM yourself... It's got a faster processor than the on you posted, but a 256mb less ram. It's cheaper by $40, too!

Ubuntu will run fine on either of those Macs.

They even have an installation guide: Ubuntu Documentation > Community Documentation > Intel_iMac
