Default Re: I'm in the market for a new graphics card

Alright, so here're a few questions cause I need this clarification, ja6on:

1. Why would I need to replace the ddr3 gpu in 6 months? I don't plan on playing any of the newest games. Many games prior to 2011 I would like to play.

2. Would you suggest a card?

OK it may last you more than six months, you don't have to listen to me, im only giving my opinion an i maybe wrong. however from my experience of wasting money on graphics cards id advise you to get the newer ddr5 1gb cards.

have a look at thsi one Newegg.com - ECS NGT440-1GQI-F1 GeForce GT 440 (Fermi) 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

(i currently have the 5770 hd crossfired (two connected together acting as one) an am currently saving for the gigabyte 7970hd, which is 90 dollars cheaper in the usa than uk)

I5 3570k oc'd 4.3Ghz, CM hyper 212+cooler, Gskill 8gb 1600Mhz, Gigabyte 7970hd oc edition, msi z77a-g45. Samsung 830 256gb SSD, WD cavier black Hdds

Ja6on, I would agree with you an recommend this card. Though it is not a radeon, it had good bang for your buck

Pity the living, not the dead. We never know who else we must let go.
