im a little confused

i got the am2 amd 3800 X2, so if i ever wanted to get a different heatsink and fan, for the compatability, is everything compatable? if not, would am2 amd's be considered skt. 940..or "VGA Card Processor"
(im using newegg as reference)

so basically i wanna find out which heatsink/fans will work with my processor.

it is not a vga card processor, which is a graphics card, it's a processor, so just look for heatsinks that say they're compatible with the Am2 socket X2 procs

Look for AM2 heatsinks - it will be listed as an AM2 Heatsink Fan, AM2 HSF, AM2 Processor Cooler, something like that.

Arctic Cooling Freezer's are very good - I'd take a look at those

ok but i didnt see too many of those, is it the same as anything else, skt 940?
