Unhappy I'm an IDIOT, my mouse cursor is gone...

I have a default Dell 8100 with all the original stuff, which has worked great for the past few years, but I had a problem very very recently...
My mouse cursor does NOT appear after I turn on my computer. Its all Working Original equipment so it isn't the wrong setup, but still doesnt work.

What could my problem be ????????

If it's cordless batteries.
Mouse connections are easily messed up.Have a good look and unplug and replug it then turn on you computer.

That is pretty strange. Yeah, check the batteries, kinks in the lead, the plug, maybe broken pins in the end of the plug? If it just did it suddenly then its probably not software; maybe the mouse is busted? Do you have another to try out?
