Question im having trouble with my dial up

hi ever since i installed windows xp home on my comp, my dial up has been only going 31.2kbps but when i use to have my windows pro on it would go 53.2kbps. does anyone know wat the problem is?? its really inportant!

try getting the latest drivers for your modem

my modem didnt come with any drivers lol

well, find out what kind of modem it is and go to the companies website and see if they have current drivers available

Double check the port speed on your modem (modem properties). Depending on the software you install, it screws it up.

hey my modem is a softv92 data fax modem. can someone find the site for the driver that supports win xp home?? i found some but they r for windows 2000 and dont seem to work properly with xp.
