Ignoring it a good idea "No firewall notice"

To add to everything here, when I'm working on a badly infected computer, I ALWAYS install Avast! and run a boot-time scan to pick up the nasties before they are loaded into RAM (and thus, become a PITA to remove most of the time). Then I'll use MBAM, Spybot S&D, and AAW. Also, if a client has Norton or McAfee installed, I'll uninstall it and leave Avast! on there--it's a million times better IMHO--I always ask them first though!
