Default IDE and SATA hard drives working together??

hey just wondering if my old seagate 120gb HDD would work well slaved to a WD 250gb SATA HDD?? have all drivers and a SATA power cable.

They should. SATA doesn't have masters and slaves is what I found when using my PATA and SATA drive.

-I have a question i have 2 IDE HD's and 1 SATA hd amd i have the OS on the SATA, is that y i can't boot without my OS CD?

Shouldn't be. Mine works fine. Maybe you have to change boot order in the BIOS. Other than that I'm clueless.
