Yes! Have you really ever dealt with buying from a retailer and returning something to the manufacturer for replacement? I have and it is normally a waste of time...meaning that you may be lucky and get a replacement 4 or 5 weeks down the road, more likely 6 to 8 weeks. If you look at most websites that sell computer parts there is a clause"warranted through manufacturer only"...ever wonder why? Because the retailers have as much problem getting replacements as the buyer does and that way they don't have to listen to the crying. Now I am not saying that that is the case with everything, nor every where. As some companies will ship a replacement as soon as verified from retailer. But over the years, I have learned to just go ahead and purchase the replacement and then hope to get satisfaction from the manufacturer.
