Default ibm upgrade

hey,i was wondering if i could upgrade my ibm 300gl model 6275-20u with a slot 1 celeron 333mhz to about 700mhz celeron using a socket 370 to slot 1 adapter.?

it sounds like it should work make sure you have the power voltages correct tho...

Are you sure it's a celeron? All I could dig up was that's a p2 or p3. The cpu speed you posted kinda gives it away.

According to this there is 31 different jumper settings to adjust to what ever cpu that you install. One note is the bios update...Is there an updated bios to handle the change? Would have to know what the bios is for sure so as to check that one...But pretty sure you can do what you wish.
