Clock speed doesn't mean anything.. it's the technology within
In other words a Pentium D @ 3.4GHZ is not going to out pace a Q6600 Core 2 Quad @ 2.4GHZ

Clockspeed is actually one of the least important factors in actual processing power. It's really only useful in comparing processors within the same series.
