Default I shot my computer

looks like the only damage i did was split a usb wire to front audio. after restarting it ,it fails to boot, and asks to insert system disk.
Whick disk, is it windows Vista ? and do i have to reload everything on my computer again or wil everything be there after a reinstall?

The question I have is why would you shoot your computer?

Check to make sure your hard drives are connected properly and that the cables are good.

Could my hard drive be bad even if the bullet didnt even scratch it,cause of the shock ? When i try to reinstall vista it says "can not find drivers". and when i start the computer up the HD makes a sound that is not normal for a few seconds
