How about stepping up tto the Dell Studio Desktop that starts at $399. You can then add either the HD 4670 or a Nividia 9800GT. That will set the price at $549.

Thanks for all the help.

I'm set on the video card, but what about the CPU?

+ Processor
Intel® Pentium® dual-core E5200 (2MB L2, 2.5GHz, 800FSB) [Included in Price]
Intel® Pentium® dual-core E5300 (2MB L2, 2.6GHz, 800FSB) [add $30 or $1/month1]

+ Performance Processors
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E7400 (3MB L2, 2.8GHz, 1066FSB) [add $70 or $2/month1]
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E7500 (3MB L2, 2.93GHz, 1066FSB) [add $110 or $3/month1]

+ High Performance Processors
Intel® Core™ 2 Quad processor Q8200 (4MB L2, 2.33GHz, 1333FSB) [add $130 or $4/month1]
Dell Recommended
Intel® Core™ 2 Quad Q8300 (4MB L2, 2.5GHz, 1333FSB) [add $180 or $5/month1]
Intel® Core™ 2 Quad processor Q9400 (6MB L2, 2.66GHz, 1333FSB) [add $230 or $7/month1]
Intel® Core™ 2 Quad processor Q9550 (12MB L2, 2.83GHz, 1333FSB) [add $290 or $9/month1]
Intel® Core™ 2 Quad processor Q9650 (12MB L2, 3.00GHz, 1333FSB) [add $350 or $10/month1]

The most important game is wow, and then CS/TF...but mostly wow. Which would a good choice, but not overkill since I'll eventually build one.

If anything, the Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 should do the trick. They're much better than the dual core Pentiums.

CPUs can be swapped out for another one, easy, right? Or once I get this computer am I stuck with this CPU if it doesn't work for me? I'm just guessing right now, but I just want something that won't hold me back.

Yea, you could always swap out the CPU for a faster one as long as it's supported by the motherboard.

too bad you won't/can't build your own rig, $1000 could set you up pretty nicely...
