Norton Ghost, or some sort of ghosting, imaging software will let you copy it to another HDD. I have vista OEM as well, you can switch it to another HDD I think.

I am not sure. But I think if you just call microsoft and tell them your HDD crashed they'll issue a new key.

There SHOULD be a COA On the side of the computer otherwise it's illegal?

I have reinstalled Vista on a new hardrive but in the same computer and it didnt even ask me for the COA.

joe, this may be of some use to you with regard to overclocking your processor.

I haven't had a chance to play with an i7 yet so I am reluctant to offer any advice until I do.

This is an overcloking calculator that helps with all the new options.
