So I just bought all new stuff for an old cool case I never built from like 5 years ago probably, anyways I got a MSI K982 platinum and an amd x2 6000 3,1ghz and other goodies.. anyways the power supply is only like 430w and then when I went to plug the main power plug in, it was 4 pins to small? is this ok or do I need a new power supply which is what I'm guessing is the case, if so what power and kinda do I need? are all new ones with the new plug? Is the rest of the case useable? It has the front power supply with supposibly temp minitoring and fan control ect.

All new motherboards now have a 24 pin main connector as opposed to the older standard 20 pin. You can use the older power supply, but I would suggest getting a new one to avoid any potential problems.

A great choice that won't break the bank would be an Antec Basiq BP500UB 500W for only $39.99. It's a good quality PSU and offers plenty of power for most any setup.
