I have $240...tell me if this is a good upgrade!

Why not my build? It will work with your current Graphics card and leaves you a PCI-X16 slot to upgrade in the future, and can bring you all the way up to around a 5000+/FX-60/.

$97 - OCZ 1GB RAM

= $277, I know this is a little over but its better overall, or so I think so, see if anyone else agrees with this setup or its just me...
i think i may go for that becuase it is the best setup...but i need to find some good ram..you think you guys could help...1 gig 512x2 dual channel kits is what im looking at...mobo made for ddr2 800...but that costs more..so idk what to do lol and when it ends up at $300 i would rather end up with a core2duo e6300 for just $330..maybe a cheaper processor?

Thats not the best setup if you ever want to upgrade you Graphics card,

AGP is phased out, and you will but kicking yourself when you want to upgrade.

If you don't want to over clock and want DDR400 this I recommend

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145440

if you want to overclock DDR400 this i recommend

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145450

If you want to overclock DDR2 800 this i recommend

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145566

and this is the DDR2 675 depending what your board supports

I will agree that AGP is being phased out and extra PCIe or x16 slots would not be a bad idea

I have been trying to help you, I posted this build like 3 times.

for $240 you can get all the stuff below, It would be what i would get if i wanted to use that AGP card, and have room for future expansion.
