Then I advise you to buy one, otherwise it's a nono doing a 100% refresh unless you have Nortons ghost and you made a back up for when you just had a fresh copy, but other than that I really don't think there is any other way, most people download there copy, but it's strictly illegal and don't advise doing it.

Note: Sorry to have to mention that on here but If he really has no idea about what lurks on the web or knowing he needs a copy of windows to do 100% re format then I think he should know that you don't get the best experience out of a cracked copy.
