So far I've tried it with three HDD's, 2 of which have windows xp installed on them, and one of which is empty. The 2 that have windows on them won't get past the screen that gives you the option to start windows in safe mod, or start normally and all that. When i choose one (usually safe mode), it gives a list of commands... then goes black, and resets.

The one that doesn't have windows, when I try to install windows, gets to a certain point in the intallation, then says to insert the windows xp cd. It's already in there, but it won't read it.

All the temps are below or around 50 degrees Celsius. The voltages are set to the suggested amounts, and nothing is overclocked.

One last thing, in the startup menu (is it still the bios before you press DELETE?), it says IDE channel 0 (my HDD) has no 80 component connector. What does that mean? I have the big long connector and the power plug connecting to it.

Please help! I don't know what to do! I can usually work out a problem, but this has got me stumped!

The 2 you are using that already have xp installed are likely giving you a blue screen due to a driver error. You can not just take a hdd out of one computer and put it in another with different hardware, it will not work.

As for your installation issues, chances are you either have a bad disk or you optical drive is malfunctioning.
