It's ok for gaming, not great or anything like that. I just don't like that Socket 754. Gives me the chills just looking at it. Get the same specs, but use Socket 939. Higher motherboard speeds, dual channel support, support faster CPUs, more up-to-date.

what's up with computerforums? Serious lag.

I don't really see why you need an SLI board for mid range gaming but if you feel on upgrading a new video card in the future, then keep that board.

I am not 100% sure if games today can run on a socet 754 processor. It is kind of old, you should look into buying a socket 939 or an intel pentium D (they are cheaper then AMD's) and they are good for multi tasking.

I am sure if you just want to do mid range gaming it would be fine an intel.
