I am assuming that this is a hardware malfunction??

So about a month ago, my on-board sound device crapped out and stopped working. I reloaded the drivers and it worked for about 10 minutes then stopped working again. I went and bought a PCI sound blaster sound card and now that also stopped working after about a month of working fine. I went into device manager and it is showing the PCI device as unknown. Even though the correct drivers are installed.

Also, I have window blinds installed. When I restart my computer, the skin looks fine. But within minutes, that basically craps out too. The task bar doesn't look right, my clock doesn't show in the task bar, and most of the skins features just don't work or look right.

I was thinking maybe is was a power supply issue? I dunno. Her are my PC specs:

Abit IP35 pro mobo
Q6600 CPU
Big Zalman CPU cooler
8800GTS GPU
Corsair 650w PSU
2 gigs ram

well it seems as this might be a motherboard malfunction..going dead, because its not only your GPU but your soundcard too.

Yeah...I would reinstall all your drivers and make sure they're the latest versions, and maybe even reinstall Windows as well.
