What does htpc stand for? Well if your gonna save alot of videos and songs on it make sure to get atleast 500g harddrive,if your gonna save ALOT.If just some stuff then around 300.I also allways suggest 2g of ram. This motherboard is pretty good to,should be good for streaming vids and music

Get 2X500GB hard drives, just for a laugh, get some sort of dual core processor, 1GB RAM, and your good to go. Is the budget just for the computer, or the TV as well?

$2800 just for the HTPC, Tv excluded from this budget.

what case and should I go Conroe?
