Hey guys. I have an older laptop an an older tower. I want to turn one of them into a HTPC. What are your thoughts? Where should I start? I want to play a game or two and the obvious music movies etc. I figured the tower would allow for more options and upgrade ability. Thanks for the advice.

Tower definitely, the laptop is probably not going to cut it since the parts for it will be more expensive and the laptop's CPU is probably very dated.
