HP w2207h - Is This Backlight Bleeding?

It's brighter at the bottom and top... I JUST opened it, and I'm thinking about taking it back and replacing it. Too many people claim to have no bleeding with this monitor.

Yep, it is slightly I'm afraid. It won't be a fault though. Most budget monitors do. Mine does slightly at the bottom too.

Yup, that's definitely backlight bleed. That's not too bad from what I can see in the pics. I've seen worse. You could return it if it's too much of a distraction for you.

Did you have a look at a floor model as it was running in the place of purchase?

I paid a good $320 for it, and I expected it to not have any problems like this. What would you do? Is it worth driving 10 mins to best buy and getting a new one?

If you think its a fault, yes, but I'm not so sure it would be.
£160 in British Pounds is still pretty cheap, especially for a monitor of that size.

After reading some reviews on NewEgg again, I see that 10+ people have experienced bleeding at the top and bottom as well. I'm not too worried now, I'll keep it.

is it just when the monitor picture is black cos if i remember correctly my monitor does that if its on and the screensaver which is a black background is running so
