HP twice as much as Dell? why?

Just wondering why the same specs for an HP cost about double the price than a Dell.....the Dell XPS with SLI and two video cards and 3.0 dual would cost about 1000 or 1500 more on an HP....

What is the reason for this? Are Dell parts just cheaper and would that really matter? 3.2 is 3.2....a 256 7800 is the same in a dell or hp......someone straighten this out...I need to Christmas shop for myself!

Yeah, I'm a little confused on what you're wanting to say... so, the xps is more expensive on an hp? Does hp even make sli comps? PLease give us links if you have them...
