Default HP having problem with Westell router

I jut bought a new HP pavilion dv9000 laptop but am having problems connecting to my wireless network. It an see my wireless network but when i try to click the connect button it doesn't connect. I have disabled all my firewalls.

The router is a
Westell Model 327w

Do ya get any errors? Have a look in event viewer aswell. Its in admin tools in control panel. Post any errors

Just check application and system,and only post the ones from the exact time that you try and connect. You will also need to expand them and copy whats in the grey box

do you have up to date drivers for both router and wi-fi card
also
are they both compliant , e.g. is the router and the card 802.11g or other

have you tried doing a repair of the connection, by right clicking and selecting repair? And your not getting any errors at all?
